Papaya is an extremely healing fruit, and the extract of its dried leaves has an anticancer effect, against a wide range of tumors – including cervical, breast, liver, lung and pancreatic cancer.

Papaya is often referred to as “angelic fruit” because of the composition rich in vitamins A and C, calcium and enzymes, and nutritional fibers that promote digestion but also play a major role in preserving the immune system.

Why is papaya healthy?

The extract of dried leaves of papaya has an anticancer effect, against a wide range of tumors – including cervical, breast, liver, lung and pancreatic cancer. A study published in the Journal of Ethnopharmacology shows that papaya has a direct anti-cancer effect on various malignancies.

The fruit of the papaya can be consumed either fresh or as dried fruit. Fresh fruit produces enzyme papain that stimulates the digestion and degradation of food. In this way, the food is kept shorter in the stomach, prevents bloating and stimulates fat degradation.

It can also be cooked as vegetables, it is a rich source of vitamins A and C, calcium, dietary fiber, which digest digestion, and have a great role in preserving the immune system.

Beneficial Milk Juice

Milk papaya juice is used for:

  • treatment of skin diseases (psoriasis and various skin impurities)
    treatment of intestinal pests,
    help with digestion
    detoxification of the digestive system,
treatment of diseases caused by microbes and bacteria such as Candida albicans, Bacillus subtilis, Escherichia coli, Entamoeba histolytica, Staphylococcus aureus, Salmonella typhi
It is a good natural remedy for muscle relaxation.

Papaya leaf juice improves insulin sensitivity that helps regulate blood sugar levels. The high antioxidants content is helpful to decrease the secondary complications of diabetes such as fatty liver, kidney damage and greatly reduces oxidative stress.

Papaya leaf juice is very bitter and extremely potent. Start with only one tablespoon a day and work up to a maximum of two tablespoons a day, if taking for therapeutic purpose.

If you have a juicer, you can simply put the (cleaned) leaves through your juicer to extract the juice. A masticating juicer does the job best. Juice and store away a small bottle of the juice in the fridge to be consumed within 4-5 days. You can mix it with your regular juice for it to be more palatable.

If you don’t have a juicer, a blender might do. Crush about 10 leaves and put into your blender with a cup of pure drinking water. Blend the leaves and strain out the juice using a cheese or muslin cloth.
