Mango is popular for refreshing flavors, and scientists have discovered and that mango has a strong effect on health. Nourishing substances in this tropical fruit are good for skin, eye health, diabetes prevention, and even the emergence and spread of cancer.
At the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology (FASEB) conference, it was said that daily use of mango helps reduce blood sugar levels, even though mango itself contains natural sugars. This is good news for those with Type 2 diabetes because they can feel better if they regularly eat mangoes with the prescribed diet.

For the purpose of research, scientists tested the effects of mango on a group of obese animals. Some people gave 10 grams of frozen dried mango daily for 12 weeks. After three months, the level of sugar in the blood of animals who taking mango was significantly lower than in other animals.

“Although the exact mechanism of action is not known, we still know that mango contains a complex mixture of polyphenols,” said Dr. Edralin Lucas, author of the study.

A similar study from Australia in 2006 showed that mango consumption reduces inflammatory processes and cholesterol, and prevents the development of a range of adverse conditions, including metabolic syndrome. In essence, mango acts better than cholesterol remedies because it naturally balances cell functions throughout the body.

Mango normalizes the level of lipids in the blood

In addition, a study conducted at Oklahoma State University has shown that regular mango consumption helps reduce insulin resistance and improve glucose tolerance in mice. The same research has shown that mango normalizes the level of lipids in the blood, which ultimately prevents the development of cardiovascular diseases.

Eat mango and avoid cancer

But the health benefits of mango do not stand there. Science has so far discovered more than 4,000 different polyphenols in plants, and many of them are present in the mango. They are known to attack free radicals and protect cells from damage.

” If you look at the mango from the physiological and nutritional point, mango is an extraordinary supernatural,” said Dr. Susanne Talcott, who revealed in 2010 that mango, that is, polyphenols kill colorectal and breast cancer cells in it.

Unlike pharmaceuticals and radiation, polyphenols attack cancer cells but do not harm healthy cells.
